too many colors
and not enough light,

a cop shot the wrong man tonight.



two little bullets
blind
jumped the gun,

one found a heart  one found a lung.



three helpless children
are orphaned in the cold,

the eldest only nine years old.



one man is buried,
the other man scarred

by a memory he can't discard.
